Recognising the importance of a qualified and clinically professional assessment in order to address each recipient’s unique and individual requirements, Midshires is able to call on the bespoke services of highly qualified and independent Occupational Therapists fully able to provide prescriptive information on a nationwide basis.
As a vital part of our client services, Midshires maintains an up to date register of quality assured independent Occupational Therapists who are strategically located throughout the UK, ensuring that an OT will always be available to respond quickly and efficiently to a clients needs.
The Occupational Therapists operate completely independently from Midshires, ensuring that the integrity of their assessments together with their professional opinions remains completely objective and are first and foremost in the recipient’s sole interests.
On occasions where the recipient’s needs are unduly complex the therapist may call upon the services of our product specialist or seek unbiased advice directly from the manufacturer. In all cases the therapist will submit a fully comprehensive, written report, for each assessment.

Each of our Product Specialists holds industry recognised certification as professional seating advisors and are therefore trained to fully understand and interpret the specific needs of the beneficiary.
Based on the specialist teams wide ranging, in depth knowledge and experience, their product recommendation and where necessary bespoke adaptions, have proven to provide an invaluable and uniquely personalised service to the recipient.

Handover & Familiarisation
An essential part of the Midshires total care package is to ensure that all recipients receive a comprehensive product familiarisation and demonstration service at the point of delivery.
Our own vehicles transport all Midshires equipment anywhere in the UK. Wherever possible deliveries are made at pre arranged times agreed with the recipient. All deliveries and handovers are made by our own trained staff and all products are fully insured during transport and delivery.
At the point of handover a member of the experienced Midshires team will provide a comprehensive verbal and practical demonstration of the equipment, including all features and functions. Any mechanical adjustments required to provide correct seating; comfort and ease of use for the recipient are carried out on completion of the handover.
All trials and demonstrations are completely open for carers, medical professional, family members, friends and benefactor representatives to attend. In certain situations, where there are complex needs, a joint handover in conjunction with other professionals may be necessary.
